About Miss Wolford:
      Miss Wolford received her Bachelor’s in Music Education at the State University of New York at Fredonia.  While an undergraduate Miss Wolford pursued percussion studies, which lead her to travel to Ghana in 2008, and fostered her interest in cultural percussion music. In the fall of 2010, Wolford was hired as the assistant band director at Corning-Painted Post West High School in Corning, NY where she directed the 9th and 10th grade concert band, 9-12 instrumental lessons, and marching band.  The following year she took on the additional direction of the 7th and 8th grade bands and established a jazz band at Corning Free Academy middle school.  In 2013, Miss Wolford completed her Master’s in Music at Mansfield University with a concentration in instrumental conducting.   Miss Wolford is currently the band director at Dolgeville Central School where she directs the 5/6 band, 7/8 band, 5-12 instrumental lessons, 7th grade general music, high school drum line, high school marching band, and accompanies the 5/6 choir. During and after school she runs the Junior High Jazz Band which is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.. In 2017, Miss Wolford had the honor of chairing the Zone 4 Area All-State Music Festival that was hosted by Dolgeville CSD. At Dolgeville, Miss Wolford continues her passion for music through teaching and arts advocacy.
       In her spare time, Miss Wolford works with the New Hartford marching band and New Hartford Indoor Percussion Ensemble (NHIPE) where she works as a percussion instructor. Miss Wolford is also the current President of the Herkimer County Music Educator's Association and board trustee with the Chadwick Bay Buccaneer's in Fredonia, NY.  During the winter months you can see Miss Wolford performing in the pit for various school musicals and in July she performs with Dolgeville Community Band. Some of Miss Wolford's hobbies include, hiking, camping, kayaking, snowmobiling, cooking and reading
