"Go out into the world well prepared"- Alfred Dolge

Candidates must:

• Be able to read and write.
• Be a qualified voter of the District. A qualified voter of the District is a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age or older and not adjudged to be an incompetent.
• Be and have been a resident of the District for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year immediately before the election.
• Have not been removed from any school district office within the preceding year.
• Not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family.
• Not be a current employee of the school board.
• Not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office.
  
  

The Nominating petition shall:

• Be directed to the District Clerk.
• State the name of the Candidate and the residence of the Candidate.
• Be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the district.
• State the name and residence of each signer.
• Be filed with the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024.
  
  

This year the following vacancies are to be filled on the Board of Education:

• A one (1) year, two (2) month term commencing on May 22, 2024 and expiring June 30, 2025 to fill the seat currently held by Julie Izzo (Craig Spofford). (Ms. Izzo was appointed for 7/1/2024 through 5/21/2024 (next election) to replace Craig Spofford who resigned 6/9/2023. The remaining term of Mr. Spofford is 5/22/2024 through 6/30/2025).
  
  
• A four (4) year, two (2) month term commencing on May 22, 2024 and expiring June 30, 2028, to fill the seat currently held by Jennifer Williams.
  
  
• A five (5) year term commencing on July 1, 2024 and expiring June 30, 2029, to fill the seat currently held by James Schmid.
